Last night I had the pleasure of seeing the screening of Macbeth  from the National Live Theatre or so I thought

Rufus Norris modern-day version was slightly confusing and far away from the social and  political context of what Macbeth is all about

Firstly I am not a Shakespeare fan but I can revel in that fact that he was an amazing writer, however, the production  I saw last night left me confused with the dark settings and missing context of the play.

Whilst it wasn’t my cup of tea and sitting through 2 hours and 30 minutes including a 20-minute break at the cinema, I walked away feeling disappointed for this edition of the production.
