Best times to visit exquisite Turks and Caicos Islands

When to visit: Check out the temperatures

When it comes to the best time to visit Turks and Caicos, there are a few things to consider. Number one is the weather. You’re hitting the Caribbean right? You don’t want rain to get in the way of your tanning. You want sunny days with clear skies and temperatures that are hotter than at home. Between April and June will give you warm and sunny conditions, ideal for lying on one of the Turks and Caicos beaches. We’re talking temperatures of between 84 and 87°F and little to no rainfall.

Peak season here is between December and April. Again, there’s no rain, but the temps are cooler meaning you can hike, kayak and explore the best Turks and Caicos attractions without the heat

The best times for less crowds, fun and festivities

Turks and Caicos weather is one thing on your list, and it’s a biggie. But there are other factors to consider too. If you want the chance to see nature at its finest, the humpback whales’ migration season is from January to April. You can spot them from shore, head out on a whale-watching expedition or even snorkel up close. Salt Cay is the place to do it.

If you’re looking for cheaper accommodation options, consider coming in the low season. September is ideal as it falls outside school breaks and Caribbean cruise season. Just remember, it’s still hurricane season. Plus, during the slow months with fewer crowds, many businesses close for renovations, so not everything will be open.

A vacation in the Caribbean is just as much about the food and culture as the weather. November is the time to come to celebrate the islands’ most iconic delicacy, the conch – The Conch Festival is held on the last weekend of the month. Salt Cay Day takes place over three days in April with food, drink and music on offer, as well as kite flying and bicycle races.
