If you’re a true meat enthusiast seeking a culinary experience that will leave you in awe, look no further than Blacklock Restaurant. Located in the city’s heart, this hidden gem is a haven for carnivores, offering an exceptional dining experience that surpasses expectations. During my recent visit, I was blown away by the quality of the food, the passion of the staff, and the overall atmosphere that exudes warmth and charm.

When you enter you venture downstairs and you are able to smell the aroma of perfectly cooked meats. The rustic yet contemporary decor created a cosy and inviting ambience, making me feel right at home.

The menu at Blacklock is centred around the finest cuts of meat and is truly a meat lover’s paradise. Every dish is crafted with utmost care and precision, from succulent chops to tender steaks. As this was a lunchtime visit, I didn’t have the sense of time on my side and therefore couldn’t opt for the prime rib that I wanted, as the cooking time required I wasn’t able to give.

I opted for the Pigs head on toast, the Sirloin with dripping chips and the Slaw

The service at Blacklock was outstanding from start to finish. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and passionate about their craft.

Worth a visit, but you will need more than one hour. Opt for a 3-hour lunch instead 🙂
