Hello peeps,

So yesterday  I decided to venture into the car boot sale business for the first time.

Wow! What an experience!

This is big business , people were queuing for hours just to get a slot.

After my initial error of queuing in the wrong queue to get my number I was finally set up on my little pitch.

So first observation is people are very fussy what they buy and what they wanna spend!

The trick is sell a bit of everything and you will be guaranteed to makes sales.

However to my detriment, I was selling the wrong seasonal items and it was a learning curve, people brought more of the knick-knacks that I was going to throw away rather than the items I was selling….. how weird is that ????

There are some characters that you get to meet, one customer brought an item from me after haggling me down and then went to sell it onto her own stall for twice the price ….

The next observation was that people are rude….man the attitude, they want to rummage and throw things all over the place…. and they want to bargain you down on everything…..Obviously I had a few choice words to say to those individuals.

Anything you want you can get at a boot sale, from tv bikes, computers, phones, you name it, you can get it! its amazing what people will buy and store, things that you and I would think as junk, there are people out there that will pay money for it .

So take a look through those cupboards, wardrobes and make your way to the nearest car boot sale…. trust me you will be surprised.

As this was a first for me, it was an experience, and one that I found enjoyable, you meet a lot of characters and you see human behaviour at its best and worst…. I will definetly do it again.
