Hey peeps,

It’s the day after christmas and I hope that you all had a great one.

Unlike most I decided to leave the shores of the UK and head further a field this Christmas, this was more to do with personal reasons, as well I didn’t want the hassle of the cooking and the preparation involved.

So here I am in a quaint little place called Altura in Portugal.

My first observation when I arrived was there is minimal celebration in this town for Christmas and this was evident by the lack of decorations at the airport and surrounding houses on the ride from the airport.

This was perfect for me……..

A huge 4 star hotel in the middle of this little town with one pharmacy and one supermarket and one butchers seemed a little out of place but with the most splendid view of the beach is a standard feature of all the rooms at this hotel, and I can highly recommend it.

The people are awesome, very help and not at all obtrusive , I look forward in investigating further
