15 Aug Day Out!
Hey peeps!
What’s good!
Like most locals and yes I class myself as a “local” now.
We tend to get complacent with the country we live and tend to forget what millions of tourist find so fascinating, that they generate a substantial amount of money to the british economy by visiting each year.
Well this weekend I decided to head to my friends that I haven’t seen in “donkey” years to her part of the world in Exmouth.
First up!!!, where is it?, and what it has to offer?
Three hours and 2 train rides later, I can give you answers!!, However before I go there…can I just say that First Great Western Trains are AWESOME! I felt like I was on an airplane and had checked in from Paddington Airport 🙂 with monitors on the back of the seat….. Virgin needs to look out !!!
Its a quiet seaside town in Devon, very quaint , tranquil and QUIET, seriously for a city chick like me, it was a culture shock but it was awesome!
I arrived late at night so I didn’t see much, but I woke up to the sound of gulls circling overhead , there was no city noise and people were just taking things easy – a bit like the Jamaican attitude
I headed to the beach and even though it wasn’t sunny, it was just right and families were building castles in the sand…..amazing, it was like a total different country!
The views, the people ,the fudge ( yummy) were all stuff I liked and will be back again to investigate further as this was a flying visit.
I am sure there is a lot more!
Until da Next Tyme!
