22 Nov Driving in Lagos….
Good morning all,
So yesterday , I took the bull by the horns and decided to continue with my driving lessons in Lagos.
Well all I can say as a novice driver it was an experience!
While dealing with beeping horns, irate drivers, cows on the road and the immense heat, I am happy to say , I survived.
I would like to thank Tayo for his amazing patience.
I stalled the car so many times and even with all the beep horns and irate drivers he still remained calm with me.
The traffic here in Victoria Island is ridiculous, even in the middle of the day the traffic was back to back, it was crazy! So many cars and so many people all in a hurry to get to where they are going.
As a driver you need to be ruthlessly aggressive on the roads here!
I am normally an extremely confident individual, however by the end of my lesson I was a total wreck!
In saying that, I must say that if I can drive through all that I am able to drive anywhere in the world 🙂
I can honestly say that I was more scared of Lagos roads than they were scared of me!
But it was a true experience not something I would recommend for all, but I am glad that experienced it.
So with a few more days to go I need to plan my next memorable experience 🙂
Until da next Tyme!
