Next time you catch yourself feeling really annoyed when someone behaves in an entitled way, try the following 3 steps:
– Remind yourself that holding onto the annoyance will negatively impact your interactions.
– Separate the person from their behaviour and let go of any judgements.
– Recognise that their behaviour may stem from insecurities and forgive the person.
Try the above and it may empower you to calm your annoyance and respond with assertiveness and kindness.
