11 Oct Formentera Yoga…….
Good morning all,
So whilst I am here I have decided to give yoga a try……again
I have been to my friends retreat in the past and I have always given it a try, but I don’t feel that I have been very successful at it and in the end I just end up relaxing on my mat,while the rest of the class is in the downward facing dog position……
Let me be frank yoga is all about breathing and yes there is an element of flexibility involved.
As a big girl that can be quite challenging during the class, and on many occasion, I found myself just relaxing in the baby pose as my size proved to be a cumbrance.
However once you master the subtle movements that your body can control, you find that the breathing helps you in being more flexible and as a result, you can push your body that little bit extra and it will do amazing things to surprise you.
This morning I am heading for “silent walk” with the teacher, the idea is that you walk early in the morning, but without talking to each other, so that your chakras, can welcome the new day and gain energy from the sun rise!
