Recently I checked out the new location of a popular london  chain – The Ivy

The buzz surrounding this venue was taking London by storm, so I had to investigate, I wasnt disappointed,  the decor set the tone for the evening ..

Think Pan Asian mix with Samurai statues, elaborate floors and ceilings and you may just be able to imagine and immerse yourself to another part of the world.

The service had some teething problems as most restaurants opening week do, the food was very tasteful, ( I can highly recommend the pork belly and scallops)

The ambience was amazing except the music was playing too loudly so having a conversation proved somewhat problematic unless sitting in close proximity to your dinner companion ie on their lap

Overall it’s a super cool venue and the food will make me return in a few weeks when the “newness” has worn off

It’s a definite visit
