Situated on the top floor of a high-rise building in central London – near Monument station –  Wagtail Rooftop Bar and Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its breathtaking panoramic views and a charming ambience that sets the stage for a memorable evening.

As I stepped onto the rooftop, I was immediately captivated by the stunning cityscape.  The modern and chic decor of Wagtail created an inviting atmosphere, blending contemporary design with a touch of sophistication. The outdoor seating area was beautifully arranged, featuring comfortable seating options and an attractive lounge area, perfect for enjoying a refreshing cocktail while soaking in the city lights.

The menu at Wagtail is an eclectic fusion of international flavors, offering a diverse range of dishes to cater to various palates. Whether you’re in the mood for seafood, steak, or vegetarian delights, the menu has something for everyone. I opted for the Sirloin with broccoli, chips and macaroni and cheese cooked perfectly.

The service at Wagtail was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.  The waitstaff ensured that my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable from start to finish, my champagne glass was always filled

While the overall experience at Wagtail was fantastic, a couple of minor areas could be improved upon. The elevator takes an age to arrive with only one active elevator. The prices were punchy even for the City and what was offered, but considering the quality of the food, service, and the stunning rooftop location, it was a worthwhile investment for a special occasion.
