12th Street…

Exploring our local area after a morning at the movies, we found  12th Street an American-style restaurant offering American-styled food. We all know that the US is famous for huge burgers, waffles and Philly cheese steak, depending on which parts of the US you visit. I went in eager to indulge in a culinary journey reminiscent of my home country.

The waffles served are good. Served with various toppings ranging from classic maple syrup to indulgent chocolate sauce and fresh fruits, each bite is a symphony of flavours and textures. The waffles strike a perfect balance between crispiness on the outside and fluffy goodness on the inside, creating a delightful sensation with every mouthful. Whether you prefer sweet or savoury, 12th Street’s waffles are a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.

However, the breakfast waffle was so big and full that it was falling apart as we tried to devour it

I love me some Philly cheese steaks,  and I approached 12th Street’s rendition with high expectations, and I was not disappointed. The thinly sliced steak, grilled to perfection, is nestled within a soft hoagie roll, generously smothered with melted cheese and sautéed onions. Each bite delivers a burst of savoury flavours, complemented by the cheese’s richness and the onions’ slight tanginess. It’s a true homage to the iconic Philadelphia dish, executed flawlessly; the brioche bun was a good touch.

We didn’t try the vast burgers on this trip, as we went for the breakfast burger, which was exceptional. we will be heading back to have that experience

if you have an insatiable appetite and want to eat some good old American stodge food, then check this place out; it is simple in decor but filling in food and has reasonable prices

Until da next Tyme
